Prospective Freshmen

With so many options and opportunities, you might think the University of Michigan is too big for you.

With composition classes with 18 students or fewer, language classes with no more than 25, calculus classes with about 30 students, and 170 seminars specifically for small groups (15-19) of freshmen, U-M ensures that you will receive the mentorship and guidance you need from our world-class faculty to continue your intellectual growth. Our outstanding residence hall system houses 98% of all freshmen who enjoy a rich social and academic life with their peers. The Michigan experience is rounded out by the great college town of Ann Arbor, hundreds of student organizations, and dozens of events and activities available every day.

One of the first decisions you have to make is to which of Michigan's Schools and Colleges you should apply. The next step is to visit campus. No matter what time of year, there is no better way to truly get a feel for the campus, students, and Ann Arbor.
