Counselors

You Are Important to Us

High school and community college counselors are our essential professional partners. We understand the critical role you play in the college admissions process, and how important you are as you assist students to make wise choices and prepare for their educational futures.

We also know that you have many responsibilities and need accurate information quickly. In addition to our website and publications, we have over twenty admissions counselors on staff to assist you, your students, and their families. A Michigan counselor is assigned to each high school, both for recruitment and application review. We also have counselors who specialize in transfer admissions and admission to our professional schools and colleges. Although we are unable to visit every school, we welcome your phone calls and emails throughout the entire year. Please contact us to find out which counselor is assigned to your school.

Michigan Highlights

Michigan Highlights is a bi-annual newsletter from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to high school guidance counselors. Highlights provides updates from the Director of Undergraduate Admissions on the current application season, as well as updates from around the University on issues that affect prospective students.
