Huetwell Visitors Center
Services
Admissions Reception Desk
The Visitors Center handles all in-person inquiries for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This includes requests for materials, information on admissions procedures, other Student Activities Building offices, and general university and community information.
Information Sessions and Central Campus Walking Tours
Prospective undergraduate students and their families are encouraged to attend an Information Session and Tour to learn about our academic programs, the admissions process, and to get an overview of the university and campus. Sessions are one hour long and are presented by a counselor or intern. Information Sessions are an hour long, and Walking Tours last 90 minutes long and take visitors by the Michigan Union, a lecture hall, a computer lab, a library, a residence hall room (when available), and other popular attractions on Central Campus.
The times and days available vary throughout the year. Advanced registration is required and is available through our website, or by calling the Visitors Center. Self-guided walking tour brochures are also available at the Visitors Center front desk and the Michigan Union Information Desk.
Group Visits
Information Sessions and Tours are also available to school groups, educational organizations, and other special visitors to the university. Rather than attending one of our regular Information Sessions and Tours, we suggest that groups set up a separate visit that can be customized to fit their needs. Groups interested in visiting campus should call the Visitors Center for more information 734.647.5692.
Walk-in Advising for Prospective and Admitted Students
Prospective students can meet individually with an admissions counselor or intern. Walk-in appointments are 15 minutes or less and are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
