The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will present an overview of the 2009 application season, highlighting trends the office has seen from the University’s community college transfer population. This session will also highlight steps that students should be taking to prepare them to be competitive transfer applicants.

10:40am-11:10am  Financial Aid Presentation

The Office of Financial Aid will provide information on the financial aid process at the University of Michigan and will highlight common mistakes that transfer students make as they navigate the process.

11:20am-12:00pm  Academics at Michigan: Explore your Options

Representatives from the different schools and colleges on campus will be available to answer specific questions that you may have about their programs and services.

12:00pm-12:35pm  Lunch

12:45pm-1:15pm  Transfer Student Panel

Hear from University of Michigan students who transferred from community college and ask them about their experiences transitioning into the University.

1:25pm-2:00pm  Admissions Case Studies

This session if for faculty and staff who will do the work of an admission’s counselor and determine which transfer candidates are ready to pack their bags and attend the University of Michigan.

1:25pm-2:00pm  Finding your way through the Maize: Resources for Transfer Students

This sessions is for students in attendance and will highlight the different resources available for transfer students on our campus.

2:00pm  Tailgate & Football

Watch the Michigan Wolverines take on Notre Dame on the big screen with current Michigan students and staff. Food will be provided and a prize drawing will take place at half-time!
