Many students transfer to U-M from Michigan's 28 Community Colleges each year. We do require official transcripts from the community college and high school. Transfer applicants who are home-schooled or who have earned a GED are required to earn a minimum of 55 transferable credits, and it is strongly recommended that they earn an Associates Degree prior to transferring. Transfer admission is competitive, and is based on both high school and college work until a student reaches junior standing (55 credits) or obtains an Associates Degree.
