Students should make travel arrangements after receiving a written confirmation of their visit date via surface mail.

AIR TRANSPORTATION

Ann Arbor is 28 miles west of Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

SHUTTLE SERVICE

There are several shuttles from Metro Airport to Ann Arbor. For information, visit the Campus Information Centers at http://www.umich.edu/~info.

AMTRAK

For discount reservations on Amtrak, please visit their website at www.amtrak.com or call 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245). The discount excludes Fridays, Sundays, and standard blackout dates. Use promotion V125 when making reservations.

Lodging

There are special Campus Day rates available for students and families. For best rates and availability, please contact the Ann Arbor Convention and Visitor's Bureau at 800.888.9487.

PARKING

Campus Day visitors may choose to park their vehicles in the Maynard Street Parking Structure. The parking structure is located one block north of the Huetwell Visitors Center. The cost of parking is $.80 per hour.

Handicapped-accessible, faculty/staff designations, metered parking, and loading zones are enforced at all times.
