Saturday I went skiing nearby at Mt. Brighton. Although the hill was the size of a garbage dump, it was an amazingly great time. It was a great weekend for reconnecting with friends, catching up on some much needed sleep, and for being downright lazy. My housemate and I literally watched 6 hours of movies on Saturday---it was glorious.

Tonight I just came back from 14 straight hours of meetings. Phew! Wow, does it feel good to be done with today. Unfortunately, I am just now getting to studying for my EMT quizzes at 4:15 am! Tomorrow is final dancer orientation for Dance Marathon--- just a short time until we'll be at that marathon! So exciting and nerve wrecking all at once. Well, better get studying.

this is the beginning of the end

WOW! My last semester at U of M has officially started. So bittersweet. On one hand, there is the excitement of new jobs, weddings (yea, I know weird), and our futures out in front of us. On the other hand, there is anxiety about leaving U of M - leaving friends, classes, nightlife, football, etc. These first weeks back have been so busy though, so I've barely had a minute to sit and think about how it will all be over in a blink of an eye (thank goodness). UMDM is off the ground again and will remain airborne until th 15-16th of March (and beyond- there is about a 3-4 grace period before UMDM officially ends). EMT class (not through U of M) has also been taking up much more time than I expected, but it should be interesting and is a great opportunity to be certified in a medical response field. Otherwise, classes so far have been, well, incredibly easy (I'm only taking 2 credits- and the class is a lab). So, to say the least my Thursdays and Fridays have been play days...not to mention Saturdays and Sundays. I have good block of 4 days to goof off, and go to meetings and whatnot. Just got back last night from Princeton where I had an interview. It was 20 hours of driving in appox. 48 hours. Lots and lots of driving. That will be the last time I drive 20 hours in 2 days, but it was an experience, and I got to see a lot of Pennsylvania. So, I guess that was fun. Anyways, there is a lot up in the air, but it will all come to fruition soon. I was offered a teaching assignment in Chicago through Teach for America, so I am really pumped about that. Ideally, I'd be abroad next year- so we'll have to see how fellowships/whatnot pan out. Thanks for reading- and as always GOOOOOOO BLUUUUUUUEEEE!!!
