Year at U-M: Sophomore
Concentration: Double major in Spanish and Arabic
Hometown: Grosse Ile, MI
Interests: New Life Church; foreign languages and cultures; going to football and volleyball games; dance classes
What I love most about U-M: What I love most about U-M: Even though we’re on a pretty big campus, the community that you feel within U-M can be so incredible. There are countless ways for students to get involved in different groups:
clubs, the greek system, church life, intramural sports, even just events in your residence hall. I’ve built so many communities here that have helped me survive the stresses of college. And it’s great to walk across the Diag and run into 2 or 3 people you know!

What I love most about U-M: The spirit! I once heard it called the sweatshirt factor. People are so proud to be a part of this community that they wear it everywhere, whether it’s on their scarves, hats, or shorts (I even have a pair of Michigan SHOES)! U-M is truly the best 40,000+ family I ever could have asked for, and even though I never wanted to go here at first, I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else!

community as you want. There is something for everyone and it’s great
to be a part of a community where there's a great diversity of people,
ideas, and activities.
