The University of Michigan Ambassadors Program offers students the opportunity to assist in the University’s recruitment efforts. Ambassadors are current University of Michigan undergraduates and have a direct impact on several Office of Undergraduate Admissions recruitment programs.
Volunteer Opportunities Available
Hosting
Host a prospective student either by taking them through a day of classes and social activities or overnight in a residence hall.
Tour Guides
Conduct a Central Campus tour and assist in welcoming many community based organizations to campus who want to learn more about Michigan.
High School Visits
Return to your high school and share your Michigan experience with prospective students.
Recruitment Event Participant
- Mingler Mix and mingle with prospective students and their families, learning more about them and telling them why you love Michigan.
- Registration Assist admissions staff in registering prospective students for recruitment events.
- Greeting and Seating Welcome and assist prospective students in finding seating.
- Student Panelist Participate on a student panel to share your U-M experience and answer questions about student life.
- Tele-Counseling Make contact with prospective students via telephone to encourage them to apply or enroll, and to answer questions about student life on campus.
