Lead the Way

University of Michigan alumni are a valued and much-appreciated resource. Since 90 percent of all admitted students have been contacted by alumni recruiters, U-M graduates who have volunteered to help with recruiting have a significant influence—which makes tremendous sense. Our alumni are living proof of the lifelong value of a University of Michigan education. Many become leaders on the national and global stage; others become the best at what they do in medicine, literature and the arts, business, politics, and many other fields. Even our youngest alumni—those who are 3 to 10 years out—demonstrate a commitment to success as they work through prominent medical, law, and professional schools or start careers in companies and school districts and more across the country.

Perhaps the biggest impact lies in the personal stories our alumni share with prospective students—in this, they humanize the U-M experience, enabling young high school students to begin to see themselves on this campus. There are many ways for you to become involved, including:
