Admitted Transfer Students

Ensure Your Place

In addition to paying your enrollment deposit, your continued academic achievement will ensure your place at the University of Michigan.

To transfer non-U-M credits, you need to ask the registrar of your current/previous school to send final transcripts (with all course work posted) directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, 1220 Student Activities Building, 515 E. Jefferson, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-1316. If a final transcript is not available at the time of admission, new transfer students will receive a tentative evaluation of their transferable credit prior to Orientation. A copy will also be given to the academic advisors to assist you during Orientation and registration. Evaluation of most professional credit is made during and shortly after registration week, by the School or College in which the student is enrolling.

The University expects that transfer students maintain the high level of academic performance that was presented upon admission. A decline in grades or a significant change in curriculum may be cause for revoking admission. It is your responsibility to notify the Office of Undergraduate Admissions if you are involved in any formal disciplinary action at your college that leads to suspension or expulsion, criminal charges or convictions, or other serious behavioral incidents.
