Step by Step Instructions for Paying the EDR

  • Go to Wolverine Access.
  • Click on the New & Prospective Student Business link.
  • Log in with your Friend Account and password. Note that the Login ID is your Friend Account email address and NOT your UMID. If you do not yet have a Friend Account Login ID, go to the Step by Step Instructions for Creating a Friend Account for further directions on how to create a Login ID and password by using the “Create One Now” link.
  • The New & Prospective Student Business page will appear after successful log in. Click on the “View Application Status” link.
  • Click on the “View Decision” link for the proper application on the Admission Application Status page. Note that this link will only be active after a decision has been made on the application.
  • Hit the “Respond Now” button on the Application Decision page.
  • Check the “Accept Admissions Offer” box on the Student Reply page. Then, click the “Continue” button.
  • Read the information in the lower-most box and click the “Continue” button on the Student Reply page.
  • Read the information about submitting the EDR payment on the Student Reply page. Be sure to scroll down to read all of the information.
  • If you are submitting your payment electronically, check the box next to “I will attend the University of Michigan” and click on the “Pay Enrollment Deposit” button. Otherwise, if you are submitting your payment by mail, click on the “Enrollment Deposit Form” link to print a hard copy form to mail with your $200.00 paper check or money order drawn on a U.S. bank or agency.
  • If you are paying electronically, provide your eCheck information using a U.S. checking or savings account.
  • Before submitting your eCheck information, please double check the routing and account numbers. If these numbers are incorrect, the payment will not go through electronically, and you will need to submit your payment by mail instead.
